Sanchaya application (www.tax.lsgkerala.gov.in ) got The Kerala State e-governance award(second prize) for the best IT-enabled citizen-centric services and projects for 2010.
Sulekha (Plan Formulation and Monitoring System for Decentralized Planning of Local Governments) won the Gold Medal in National Awards for e-Governance 2009-10 by Government of India for under the Category "Excellence in Government Process Re-Engineering". Sevana (Civil Registration System and Hospital Kiosks) won Bronze medal under the category "Outstanding performance in Citizen-Centric Service Delivery".The awards were presented by the Hon'ble Governor of Rajasthan Mrs. Prabha Rau at a function held at the Birla Auditorium, Jaipur on 18-Feb-2010. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot, the Union Minister of State for Personnel Affairs Shri Prithviraj Chauhan, the Union Minister of State for Information Technology and Communication Shri Sachin Pilot and other eminent dignitaries. The awards for IKM were received by Shri. K Premkumar, Director (Technical), IKM on behalf of all the team members.

Sulekha Plan Monitoring System for Decentralized Planning won the CSI-Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2008-09 under the G2G Category.
The evaluation criterion is based on two indicators i.e. Results and Enablers. The attributes considered for Result indicator are mainly in terms of outcomes and the attributes for Enabler indicator are in terms of the processes to be in place so as to achieve the desired results. Keeping into consideration the constraints on time and resource for under taking a detailed evaluation, for the purpose of these Awards, only the key attributes have been considered
Information Kerala Mission for strengthening decentralisation and local democracy in Kerala reached the finalist in Stockholm Challenge Award 2006 under the category "Public Administration". Local Self Government Department website www.lsgkerala.gov.in (formerly www.localgovkerala.net), which is developed and maintained by Information Kerala Mission was selected as the best national e-content on e-governance for the year 2006. "Use of ICT for local administration enables to implement a holistic and humane centred ICT project aiming at strengthening decentralised planning and local democracy through good governance and improved service delivery. The Information Kerala Mission has aimed at strengthening decentralised planning and local democracy through good governance by enabling improved service delivery, sharing of best practices and building up community knowledge bases for decentralised planning and local area development", said the award committee.
Mr. P.V. Unnikrishnan (Executive Mission Director, Information Kerala Mission) was selected as one of the national e-governance champion in the nation- wide contest conducted by Data Quest magazine, for the Government of India. Data Quest was entrusted with the task as part of the Union Government’s move to formulate “Digital Vision 2020”. Mr. P.V.Unnikrishnan has got the honor for his contributions to computerising the local bodies of Kerala.
Kerala has selected as the lead player in e-governance among the southern states. Computerisation of local bodies, Friends e-pay centres and Treasury computerisation were the land marks identified in the contest.
